Apparently there is some confusion

Some of us are not clear what mandating is all about and appear to be confused by certain activities I have alluded to below and in the past. Allow myself to explain myself.

Rules of Mandating:

1. Only two people are involved. In my experience, its two men. If there's more than two, its not a mandate anymore. If a girl is involved, its a date. Or a visit to your sister. Or mother.

2. One of the two invites the other to a movie. And invites no one else.

3. Dinner/drinks may or may not be involved. (but usually are)

4. You DO NOT hold hands during the movie.

5. There is no touching of each other's naughty parts.

6. There is no thinking of touching of each other's naughty parts.

7. Each person buys his own ticket and popcorn.

8. Chick flicks are not allowed. Mandating is strictly for action / horror/ artie movies that your other friends/girlfriend/wife/significant other will not watch with you.

9. The appropriate way to end any mandate is "Later, dude" thus reaffirming your masculinity. Definitely no good bye kissing.

10. Cheating/ Infidelity is common yet unbecoming when mandating. If you ask someone out on a mandate and they are unable to come on said day, then it is correct etiquette to wait for one more day or to ask permission to mandate with someone else.

Especially if said person has told you before hand that he wishes to watch said movie. In mandating, this is never followed by "with you" but it is implied.

For e.g.
"Dude I want to see Deathproof" rather than "Dude, I want to see Deathproof with you" (no no).

But you're allowed to say:

"Dude, we should totally see Deathproof."

Kapish?

Peeing is fine. Normally you're not facing each other when that happens.

Unlike in women's loos. I've heard you have couches and potted plants, sometimes even a Plasma TV. Is that true?

Thank you for clearing up the rules of mandating.

I am relieved to know I can say no to certain advances.

Plasma TVs are so last year dude.

There are a few mattresses in the women's rooms at ChihHao's workplace though. I wonder what they're for. There's probably only 3 women in their bldg.
